West Penn’s four (4) Pillars that form the foundation of our Island-wide Community Youth Football League

      Grassroots

We focus at the community level ensuring the widest involvement from within inclusive, more importantly, parents, guardians, caregivers, and the youths.

      Generational

Our research tells us that generational myths are the stranglehold that is around the necks of our youths. This generation must be guided and tooled with a sense of awareness to breach that psychological barrier to enable them to push forward to begin their transformation.

      Gratification

The sense of accomplishment in achieving the goal that was set and the pride and pleasure that the youths would feel when they succeed.

      Gratitude

The element of gratitude in our lives provides us with an understanding that we are here on earth by the grace of God and should be thankful for what we have and not crave what we cannot have. These are the pillars we wish to instill in our charges by using SPORT and Football to engender these critical principles.

Our Mission

To establishes an effective efficiently managed Nation-wide Community Youth Football Tournament inculcating a new paradigm, engendering best practices, and adopting international standards to promote and encourage national participation inclusive of the Governing Association, the national followership in support of our Island-wide National Youth Football Tournament.

Objectives

1.      To create a highly competitive, expertly managed competition that will involve and attract as far as possible, the broadest community participation.

2.      To develop strategies to attract international, national and local community sponsorship and partnerships.

3.      To engage participating communities in full support for their teams.

4.      To stimulate local volunteers in the local communities.

5.      To guide youths towards a more positive way of life.

6.      To inculcate managerial and organizational and managerial skills

7.      Unearth new talents.

8.      To expose the game by creating greater and wider participation in the extended communities and districts in the various zones.

Our Aim

Our aim is to create a national platform that would allow Youths from all communities nationally to be given the opportunity to display their acquired skills.  Bearing in mind that 2026 is the year of the World Cup, our tournament should be strategically pinned to the short to medium term from 2022 to 2025 narrowing the gap for emerging players to be sensitized and motivated for national selection and can also be an opportunity for the national coaching apparatus to source and recruit deserving players.
